Welcome to boldlioness.com!
2015… a season of learning and growing. I guess you could say I was finding myself, and like most 19-year-olds, trying to figure out what it was that I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I started a blog, “The Joyous Heart.” God used my blogging to draw me deeper into The Word, and ultimately closer to His heart. I did not plan that year to turn out quite the way it did.. a year of BIG mistakes and bigger regrets. What followed involved an unexpected dive into a love I never knew before. Jesus grabbed my attention, and eventually became my everything.
As someone who grew up in the church, I read the Bible stories and knew a lot about God. It wasn’t until these first two years of college that my relationship with Jesus developed into what it is now. God ended up taking my mistakes and changing my guilt into GRACE–Fast forward to Spring 2016 when I heard God’s voice so clearly while touring a college campus. It was then that I made the decision to transfer to a private Christian university. Along the way, I picked up a hobby in photography, traveled to the other side of the world, completed two internships, graduated with my BSW, BS in Bible, & MS in Nonprofit Leadership, planned a wedding in a global pandemic, and married my best friend (featured above and in most of my Instagram) near the end 2020. Currently I am a foster care case manager by day, and blogger/photographer by night. I am a lover of Jesus, writing, photography, and traveling. I am also a chocoholic and a wild flower enthusiast.
Boldlioness.com came out of a few things… 1) Proverbs 28:1, one of my favorite verses in the Bible, 2) the first part of my name, Ari, meaning “lion of God” in Hebrew, and 3) from always being told by others that my hair reminds them of a lion’s mane.
Jesus is my best friend and first love. I hope this blog inspires you and encourages you to pursue joy and run BOLDLY after the heart of the Father.
